Howdy my fine friends!

Long time no speaky hey? Apologies... life is a bit hectic at the moment. :faint:

I am planning art works but need to set the time aside to do something about getting them done.

I've had a full-on week.

A funeral for the 23rd Australian to be killed in Afghanistan, Sapper Jamie Larcombe, a Kangaroo Island boy and all-round great and courageous young Aussie, cut down way too soon.  The PM Julia Gilliard, Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, and several big wigs in the armed forces attended, and so did over 1000 KI residents. I was sobbing next to them, as we all said our goodbyes to a boy who became a man way too soon. RIP Jamie, we will carry you with us always.

1989 - 2011

And have begun to really get to know a fabulous man, and feel things stirring in my heart again. SF you are beautiful, and I can't wait to get to know you more.

So, in honor of two extreme examples of the wonders of humanity, I dedicate this fabulous art work found on dA.

Celebrating the human race and fabulously meaningful photography... enjoy!

Just a quick one today, cos the lovely gastro has me feelin' mighty crook... :puke:

Have a great Aussie day ok? Don't bother throwing a shrimp on the barbie cos that's not what we do (first of all, it's a bloody prawn!!!), and we have snags anyway...

Have a bonza day!!!

I knew you weren't well, but I am so shocked you've gone, David. Always there for everyone else with a supportive word or some witty quip, you were made of all things fabulous.

Touch the stars my sweet friend, you will be so missed!

Howdy Folks!!!

I'm thinking this year I will actually set some resolutions for the first time EVER....

Reason being, that I have had my worst year health-wise... I've had cold and flu's by the dozens, and had an enlarged spleen, and a liver that seems to be doing some very odd things...high blood pressure, migraines...
and now I may be looking at type 2 diabetes... Yay me!!! :faint:

So, it's time to do something about it. I believe it's all stress related, and I used to be good at de-stressing until life got in the way.

So here are my resolutions:

:bulletred:  Do yoga and meditate again to de-stress and get some tone and flexibility.

:bulletred:  Walk more - I live next to a beach for pete's sake!!! I have to take better advantage of that!

:bulletred:  Worry less about work, dammit! It's just work...

:bulletred:  Take time to dance - just bought Zumba today to make sure of that!!!! :boogie:

:bulletred:  Start a gratitude journal again - I used to have one and it really helped me set the right priorities.

:bulletred:  Hug my 4 year old son and tell him I love him at least once a day. Take the time to laugh with him, rather than telling him off...

:bulletred:  Listen to more music and sing again... that disappeared sometime... and my throat chakra really benefits from singing (otherwise I get sick and my voice disappears, when I'm not speaking up enough in my life).

So... what are YOUR resolutions or do you not do them?  How was your 2010 and what plans have you got for 2011??

Happy New Year everyone!!! Love to you all!
